Flooding and Landslides Hit Santa Catarina State

Heavy rain in Brazil’s Santa Catarina state on Wednesday, June 26, has caused landslide and flooding. Homes along the Peixe River in Joaçaba were evacuated after water levels rose over 10-foot above normal levels. Landslides and flooded bridges blocked roads in Joaçaba and nearby Luzerna in the west of Santa Catarina state. This video shows a road blocked by fallen trees and rocks.
