Flooding in Maine Closes Streets

Flooding in southern Maine closed roads and stranded people as heavy rain inundated the area on September 30. As much as four inches fell in the Portland, Maine, area before 8am, according to local media. Among those stranded were shoppers at Whole Foods in Portland, when the parking lot and surrounding streets filled with water.
