Florida Prepares for Arrival of Tropical Storm Erika

Florida made preparations for the arrival of Tropical Storm Erika on Friday, August 28, as the storm made its way across the Caribbean and toward the US. Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency on Friday, August 28. The National Weather Service forecast that Erika would make its way up the spine of Florida on Monday, September 2.
