Flowers Laid at 9/11 Memorial in Tribute to Paris Victims

New Yorkers remembered the Paris attacks victims on November 16 at a tribute service held at the 9/11 Memorial. Those who attended laid flowers at the memorial’s Survivor Tree. The tree was discovered under the rubble a month after the September 11 attacks and was brought back to health by the New York City Parks and Recreation Department. It was replanted at the site in 2010.

At least 132 people were killed in six coordinated terrorist attacks across Paris on November 13, including bombings at the Stade de France stadium and a hostage situation at Le Bataclan during a concert. Vigils and tributes have been held across the world in response to the attacks.
