At Good Friday Service, Vatican Preacher Laments Kenya Attack as Christian Persecution

Good Friday is the only day of the year that Roman Catholics around the world do not celebrate Mass. Pope Francis presided Friday April 3 at the Passion of Our Lord service at St. Peter’s Basilica. During the service, Father Raniero Cantalamessa criticized the international community for indifference in the face of Christian persecution, one day after the April 2 attack at Kenya’s Garissa University in which 147 people died.
