Good Samaritans Push Vehicles Through Corpus Christi Floods With Truck

Two good Samaritans from Corpus Christi used their truck to push vehicles through one of the city’s flooded streets on May 21. Heavy rainfall along the southern Texas coast caused flash flooding in in the region.

Leslie Reyes told Storyful that she and her fiancée, Art Gomez, used their Chevrolet Tahoe 4×4 to help drivers stranded in the flood. “The cars were literally floating,” said Reyes.
Reyes said they rescued seven or eight cars and that they didn’t hesitate to help fellow drivers in the community.

“If everyone did one thing nice for another, this world might be a better place,” said Reyes. Credit: Leslie Reyes
