How the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme will work

The Chancellor has announced a groundbreaking new scheme to subsidise people's meals in restaurants, dubbed "Eat Out to Help Out". The government will spend £500m giving people 50% off in pubs, restaurants, cafes, and bars that serve food. The scheme will run Monday to Wednesday throughout August and covers all food and non-alcoholic drinks. Diners can claim a maximum discount of £10 per head, including children.
