Great British Inventors: Tim Berners-Lee

Oxford educated Tim Berners-Lee had all the geek pedigree to become a great inventor and when experimenting with sending data between computers using phone lines, he invented the World Wide Web. It's an understatement to say that his invention caught on but Berners-Lee was also revolutionary in making all his ideas free - internet freedom is something he stills campaigns for today.
