Half-Sheep, Half-Goat - Ewe Got to Be Kidding

Two weeks ago, Irish farmer Paddy Murphy became perplexed when he saw one of his sheep’s new-born offspring. The sheep had given birth to a ‘geep,’ half-goat, half-sheep. Murphy told the Irish Farmers Journal, “It had all the hallmarks of a goat. I knew a goat had gotten in among a few of the hoggets, I didn’t know what would turn out.”

“They were all normal lambs apart from this fella. He looks like a goat, trapped in a lamb’s body, a Geep I think it’s called!”

Murphy explained he spotted a goat making the acquaintance of a ewe on his farm a number of months ago, but had initially thought nothing of it. Credit: Irish Farmers Journal
