Heavy Storms Cause Flooding in Florence

A heavy storm on Saturday, August 1, knocked trees and damaged homes and vehicles in southern Florence, Italy, causing localized flooding. Some streets remained impassible and public parks were closed on Sunday, as emergency services worked to clear debris and pump water away, according to a statement from the City of Florence.
