Helicopter Tackles North-Central Washington Wildfire

A wildfire burned near Riverside, Washington, from Tuesday, August 19, through to Wednesday, prompting the evacuation of the town. Okanogan County Emergency Management Director Maurice Goodall said several homes were damaged by the blaze, which jumped Highway 97 and spread towards Omak Airport. This video shows a firefighting helicopter in operation.
