HRW: US Military Personnel Who Report Sexual Assault Experience Retaliation

In a damning new report released on May 18, Human Rights Watch (HRW) say that US military personnel who report sexual assault frequently experience retaliation from their colleagues, and that the retaliation often goes unpunished. The report, titled Embattled: Retaliation against Sexual Assault Survivors in the US Military, says personnel who report assault are 12 times more likely to experience retaliation than see the perpetrator convicted.
