Hunger Striker Nadia Savchenko's Detention Extended by Moscow Court

Nadiya Savchenko, the former Ukrainian fighter pilot who is currently being held in a Russian prison accused of the murder of two journalists, appeared in court in Moscow, on Tuesday, February 10, where her detention period was extended till May 13.

Savchenko, who is on hunger strike to protest against her detention, told the court, “I will continue the hunger strike, which has lasted for more than 60 days and will continue it until I’m taken back in Ukraine or until I die.” Credit: YouTube/Radio Svoboda Organization
