Idaho's Soda Fire Reaches 200,000 Acres

Idaho’s Soda Fire stood at 200,000 acres on August 13 and forced a highway to be closed, according to local media. Highway 95 was closed between Marsing and the Oregon border as firefighters worked in the area. The people who were evacuated on August 12, though, were allowed to return to their homes. Hundreds of people also lost power because of the fire, but a generator was brought online as a temporary fix to the problem.
