Incredible View of Solar Eclipse Taken on Remote Norwegian Islands

Svalbard, a Norwegian chain of islands in the Arctic Ocean, was one of the places to be this week as it fell right in the path of the solar eclipse. For those lucky enough to be there, they were rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime view of the phenomenon.

This uploader told Storyful: “It was -25C (including windchill) at the viewing site. When the eclipse was over I noticed the camera had stopped recording and shut off on its own, likely due to the intense cold. Luckily, it stayed recording long enough to capture the event.” Credit: YouTube/sliny
