Israeli Forces Blow Up Homes of Attackers Involved in Killings

Israeli army engineers blew up homes in Ramallah and Nablus on Saturday belonging to four men suspected of the killings of a 27-year-old Israeli man and a couple shot repeatedly in their car. Malachi Rosenfeld was killed by gunmen in a drive-by shooting north of Jerusalem in June. Naama and Eitam Henkin were killed near Nablus in front of their four children, who survived.

The destroyed homes belonged to Muhammad Naif Abdallah, Samir Zahir, Ibrahim Kusa, and Karem Lutfi Fathi Razek, the IDF said.

Israel has made a practice of blowing up the homes of those who are convicted or strongly suspected of terror attacks. The policy is controversial and requires passage through Israel’s court system; Proponents believe the practice helps deter terror attacks which involve suicide. Credit: Facebook/Israel Defence Force
