Italian Coastguard Rescue Dozens of Migrants From Crowded Wooden Boat

Italy’s Coast Guard released footage on April 23 showing teams rescuing dozens of migrants from an overcrowded wooden boat in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The International Organization of Migration (IOM) estimated that the number of migrants to have lost their lives during the journey across the Mediterranean in 2015 had surpassed 1,750 as of April 22.
