Karma Residents Scramble to Rescue People After Airstrike

Sunni tribal leaders condemned an airstrike that killed at least four people in Karma, an Iraqi village controlled by IS in Anbar Province, on Tuesday, February 24. They also implicated the Iranian government in the attack, saying Iranian-made rockets were found. This footage, provided to Radio Free Europe from a source inside Karma, shows residents scrambling to rescue people trapped under buildings that collapsed in the strike.

The video opens with a scene from the council of tribesmen reading a statement, in which they condemn Sunni clergymen whom they say “falsely claim” to represent the tribes in the Al Anbar Council and the parliament. Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
