KKK Members and African-Americans Engage in Verbal Clash

The Ku Klux Klan’s membership is a shadow of what it once was, but around 2,000 members held a Confederate flag rally at South Carolina’s State House on Saturday, July 18, after legislators last week took down the controversial flag that flew outside the State House. The police arrested at least five people.

A white gunman shot and killed nine members of a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17. The incident reignited the controversy over the flag’s presence on the State House grounds.
