London Street Evacuated as WWII Bomb Found

A London street was evacuated on Monday, August 10, as a 500lb unexploded bomb from World War Two was found at a building site. The bomb found at Temple Street, Bethnal Green, is though to have been dropped over London during German bombing raids in the early 1940s.

A 200-meter cordon was placed around the bomb and many residents spent the night in a nearby school hall, the Guardian reported. Credit: Ministry of Defence
