Los Angeles Firefighters Rescue Three From River Amid Heavy Rains

The Los Angeles Fire Department rescued three people from the Los Angeles River on September 15 as heavy rains poured down on the region. Two of the victims and a dog were rescued from a tree in the river, according to local media. The third victim was rescued a short distance upriver.
