Los Angeles Low-Wage Workers March for Higher Minimum Wage

Hundreds of workers marched on November 10 to call for an increase of the minimum wage to $15 per hour. This video shows the march in Los Angeles, which was to converge at City Hall for a rally. Similar rallies and marches were planned in hundreds of cities across the United States, including Washington, where Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders appeared. Hillary Clinton also tweeted her support of raising the minimum wage to $15.

The movement also claimed a victory on Tuesday when it announced Pittsburgh’s mayor would be raising the minimum wage to $15. Credit: Instagram/Lorraine Lopez
