Los Angeles Police to Offer $50,000 Reward in Hit-and-Run Case

The Los Angeles Police Department are offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the capture and conviction of a suspect wanted for leaving the scene of an accident that left an 87-year-old woman in critical condition. Police will hold a press conference on March 26 at 10:30am local time, according to a notice posted on March 25.

At around 8am local time on March 16, the woman was crossing the street on Adams Boulevard within a marked crosswalk. The suspect then turned onto Figueroa Street when he collided with the pedestrian, according to police.

The driver continued traveling one block before making a U-turn and driving past the victim. Police said the suspect continued to drive around the University of Southern California Campus at a high rate of speed and drove through a red light.

Police said the suspect was seen driving a silver, late-model Infinity SUV.
