MH370: New pinger signals detected in the Indian Ocean

Australian ship Ocean Shield has detected 2 pinger signals consistent with those from a flight recorder in the Indian Ocean, marking the most promising lead so far in the search for missing flight MH370. It comes after a Chinese ship detected signals in the same area over the weekend. Now an underwater unmanned vehicle will be deployed to search the ocean floor for signs of wreckage. Search leader Angus Houston says it could take days to confirm whether these are from the Boeing 777 which disappeared without trace four weeks ago en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
