Migrants Cross Hungary-Austria Border Overnight by Bus

Journalists at the scene said buses carrying migrants from Budapest arrived in Austria early on Saturday, September 5. Reuters quoted the Austrian police as saying around 2,000 people had arrived from Hungary at the Austrian border.

The Hungarian government announced the provision of the buses in a statement on Friday, after migrants and refugees, who spent days stranded at Budapest’s Keleti train station, decided to walk towards the Hungary-Austria border. Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann announced early on Saturday that Germany and Austria had agreed to open their doors to migrants in Hungary. Credit: YouTube/Bordermonitoring Eu
