Migrants Crowd Train as Police Reopen Budapest Station

Hungarian police reopened Budapest’s Keleti train station on September 3 following two days of migrants protesting against the closure, which prevented their travel to Western Europe. Many of the migrants are seeking refuge from persecution or war in their home countries. Despite the reopening, trains would not be travelling to locations in Western Europe, Hungary’s national rail provider said in a statement.
