Minneapolis Police Begin Removal of Demonstrators at Fourth Precinct

Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau announced the removal of protesters blocking the entrance of the Fourth Precinct on Wednesday, November 18. Chief Harteau said some of the protesters were armed and had thrown rock and bottles at the precinct.

Demonstrators have been camped outside the police station since Sunday, demanding the release of video showing the police shooting of Jamar Clark. Clark was shot during a confrontation with police officers on Sunday morning and died of a gunshot wound to the head on Tuesday. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said Clark’s death was a homicide. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has identified the two police officers involved – Mark Ringgenberg, 30, and Dustin Schwarze, 28 – on Wednesday. Credit: YouTube/MinneapolisPolice
