More Than a Thousand Refugees Left Stranded in Piraeus

More than 1,000 refugees were reportedly stranded in the port city of Piraeus, on the outskirts of Athens, on February 5, as roadblocks set up by farmers protesting about taxes had cut off routes for buses of refugees heading to the Idomeni camp.

Voluneteers said on February 5 that urgent help was needed at the port as there was no food to be handed to the refugees. Credit: Twitter/Daphne Tolis
