NASA Unveil Hubble 25th Anniversary Image at Newseum

NASA unveiled a spectacular photo on April 23 to mark the Hubble Space Telescope’s 25th anniversary. Speaking at the official release of the photo at the Newseum on April 23, NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden, the pilot on the mission that launched Hubble, said, “We all sensed Hubble was going to be something special.” The spectacular image gives a 3-D visualization of the nebula Gum 29, which holds the star cluster Westerlund 2.
