Nationalists Attack Offices of Ukraine's Opposition Bloc Party

Ukrainian nationalists attacked an office of the Opposition Bloc party, a political party identified as pro-Russian, in Kharkiv, on August 3. The attack was launched in protest against Opposition Bloc’s application to participate in the upcoming local elections. According to reports, authorities later said the party would not be allowed to participate.

On the party’s website, Opposition Bloc MP Mykhailo Dobkin called for a boycott of the local elections, should the party not be allowed to participate. Credit: YouTube/Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
