Navy Sends Ships to Sea as Joaquin Heads North

US Navy ships ported in Norfolk, Virginia, sortied from their piers on Friday, October 2, as Hurricane Joaquin turned north for a run up the US east coast. The navy typically sends its ships away from their piers under hurricane conditions. This video features the USS Harry S. Truman. Credit: Navy Media Content Services
