Netanyahu Stares in Silence During UN Speech on Iran

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stared down at UN delegates for around 45 seconds during angry remarks accusing representatives of turning a blind eye to Iran’s threats towards Israel. Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on October 1, Netanyahu said the Iran deal will not achieve peace but “makes war more likely” by “fueling Iran’s aggression with billions of dollars and sanction reliefs”.

Netanyahu asked world leaders to “check your enthusiasm at the door” as he said Iran had boosted its supply of deadly weapons to Syria and sent more soldiers to assist “Assad’s brutal regime”. He slammed UN member states for their “deafening silence” as Iran’s rulers “threaten to destroy my country, murder my people”, as seen from around 15:30 in this video. Credit: UN Web TV
