NYC Protesters Call for Justice on Anniversary of Rabaa Massacre

A large crowd gathered in New York City on August 14 calling for justice for the people who died in the Rabaa Massacre. It was the second anniversary of the death of hundreds of people who were protesting in Rabaa Square in Cairo. In the weeks prior, supporters of disposed President Mohamed Morsi had been holding sit-ins calling for his reinstatement.

In a flyer handed out at the event, the group stated that there “has been no true efforts to reclaim the rights of the people who were killed and those who were detained during the Rabaa Massacre. No investigation was held to bring those responsible of these atrocities to justice.” Credit: YouTube/Jennifer Connic
