Obama Acknowledges 'Profound Sacrifice' of WWI Dead

Along with His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium and Prime Minister Elio di Rupo, US President Barack Obama visited the Flanders Field Cemetery on March 26. The cemetery, where 411 American servicemen are buried or commemorated, lies in an area of Belgium associated with the First World War battles of Ypres and Passchendaele, in which tens of thousands of soldiers were killed.
