'Right Plonker' Crashes Through Level Crossing in Reverse

British Transport Police released CCTV footage on Thursday, July 30, of an incident at a rail crossing in Derbyshire, England, on June 21. The footage shows a three-wheeled yellow van reversing through the gates of a level crossing onto a railway line. Fortunately for those on-board, the van moves to safety before a train comes along.

The vehicle is similar to that made famous by the British comedy series Only Fools and Horses. The British Transport Police described the driver of the van as a “right plonker” on Twitter – a catchphrase from the show. Credit: British Transport Police
