Police Clear Electricity-Price Protesters From Yerevan Camp

Armenian police cleared the last demonstrators from Baghramian Avenue in Yerevan on July 6, bringing to an end two weeks of protests against rising electricity prices. President Serzh Sargsyan offered to suspend price hikes in late June, but activists said the suspension was inadequate and demanded the plans be cancelled. Footage shows police removing blockades and dragging away protesters. Fifty people were arrested, RFE said. Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
