Protesters March From West Side to City Hall.

Protesters marked from Baltimore’s west side to city hall on April 28, a day after demonstrations turned violent. This footage shows the march as it left the vicinity of Pennsylvania and North avenues, which was the center of the April 27 unrest. The uploader stated he observed that people were putting a stop to those who were stepping out of line or potentially turning violent. The uploader reported he did not have any video of those instances.

Police arrested 235 people during the April 27 riots, looting and destruction, and 20 officers were injured, according to The Baltimore Sun. Firefighters responded to 144 vehicle fires and 15 building fires.

Maryland’s National Guard was activated and was patrolling the Inner Harbor area. The mayor imposed a city-wide curfew of 10pm to 5am.

There was a large gathering of protesters in the neighborhood where the unrest was centered, and police were on hand. Others also were gathering to clean up the neighborhood and fix damaged businesses. Credit: Twitter
