Protests Over Dropped EU Membership Bid

More than 8,000 people took to the streets of Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, on Sunday to protest against the government for withdrawing the country’s application to become a European Union member state. The country’s coalition government bypassed parliament on the decision to tell the EU not to consider the application, according to a local report. This video shows the protesters in Reykjavik.
