Record Breaking Snowfall in British Columbia, Canada

People in the northern British Columbia cities of Kitimat and Terrace were asked to stay in their homes as snow continued fall on the region on February 8. Kitimat has been hit by 120 centimetres of snow since Thursday, February 5, covering cars and homes. According to reports, the snow storm is part of the same weather system, known as a Pineapple Express, that is bringing heavy moisture to much of the province’s coast.
