Recovery Efforts Continue in Nepal After Second Major Earthquake

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday, May 12, 83km (52 miles) east of Kathmandu, and close to the base of Mount Everest. According to reports, the quake, which lasted just over one minute, was felt as far away as northern India. More than 8,000 people died in a 7.8-magnitude quake in Nepal on April 25, which destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes.
