Red Cross to Israel: 'End Bombardment of Gaza, Human Cost Too High'

Storyful

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Thursday, July 31, called for the immediate cessation of Israel’s bombardment of Gaza. It came as Israel announced it was calling up another 16,000 reserves to step up its offensive after 23 days of shelling. The death toll in Gaza stood at 1,360, on July 31, most of them civilians. Here, the ICRC says a major humanitarian emergency is developing. It calls for the killing to “stop now”. Credit: YouTube/International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
