Refugees Travelling to Europe React to Paris Attacks

Refugees travelling to find safety in Europe reacted to deadly attacks carried out across Paris on November 13, in which more than 100 people were killed. During a Radio Free Europe interview in Tabanovce, Macedonia, on November 14, one refugee said the attacks were a “big disgrace,” and that he felt “very afraid” of the potential consequences lying in wait for fellow migrants.

“I am coming here in Serbia right now and I heard about the attack on Paris so I think it’s very bad news. And we are going there. We want to go there in Paris for a good life, for a good lifestyle, there we are safe,” he said. " But now you are telling me yesterday somebody attacked with 130 people [dying] there, this is a very bad news. And now we are afraid [if] we will [be allowed to] go there or not. And that thing is very bad. [People] are not safe there." Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty
