Rep. John Lewis Recalls 'Bloody Sunday': I Thought I Saw Death

Thousands gathered in Selma, Alabama, on Saturday, March 7, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” when police clubbed and tear gassed peaceful civil rights protesters in 1965.
