Rescue Crews Tow Stranded Fishing Boat Off Scotland Coast

Rescue crews assisted a fishing vessel that took on water 10 miles southeast of Stornoway, Scotland, on Saturday, March 7. Stornoway Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) said the three aboard the trawler were able to cut the fishing gear before rescue crews escorted the boat to Stornoway’s harbor.

The mayday was also answered by a coast guard helicopter, CalMac ferry Isle of Lewis and the fishing vessel Carlsbay.
