Dust Billows From British Columbia Rock Slide

Thick dust billowed at the base of Stawamus Chief mountain in British Columbia on Sunday, April 19, when 1,000 cubic meters of rock slid from a granite formation near the town of Squamish. The rock slide occurred just before noon, causing the closure of Mamquam Forest Service Road while officials conducted a geotechnical engineering assessment, according to local government.
