Rockets Ravage Aleppo as Street Fights Continue

Allied Islamist militias continued to clash with pro-regime fighters around Aleppo suburbs, amid a government campaign to reclaim parts of the strategic city and its surroundings. Fighting raged in the streets of Maysalun, an Aleppo suburb, on August 9 with Islamist groups reportedly hit by ground rockets from Syrian forces.

The Sham Front, a coalition of at least five militant factions active in Aleppo, including Ahrar al-Sham and the Nourredine Zanki Movement, uploaded footage from the streets of Maysalun on August 10. Video shows fighters loading and targeting a building with a rocket.
