Rousseff Agrees to Visit Washington in June, Says Obama

US President Barack Obama said his Brazilian counterpart, Dilma Rousseff, agreed on Saturday, April 11, to visit the US this summer. Obama and Rousseff met on the margins of the Summit for the Americas in Panama City, Panama.

Rousseff had cancelled her official visit to Washington in 2013 after reports found that the US National Security Agency spied on Brazilian government officials and citizens.

“I’m also very pleased that President Rousseff is going to be able to visit Washington at the end of June,” said Obama. Credit: YouTube/The White House
