Russia Needs to Be a 'European Nation,' Jeb Bush Says in Berlin Speech

Just days before he was expected to announce his intention to run for president, Jeb Bush addressed a group of German politicians and businesspeople in Berlin on Tuesday, June 9.

In a largely anti-Putin speech, the former Florida governor described the Russian president as a “ruthless pragmatist.”

After expressing his support for the “Russian people,” Bush said “Ultimately, Russia needs to be a European nation. Everything we do should be to isolate its corrupt leadership.” Credit: Twitter /Jeb Bush
