Saudi Coalition Launches New Yemen Strikes

Houthi rebels were forced to retreat in parts of southern Yemen on Monday, April 6, after Yemeni militias backed by Saudi-led airstrikes attacked the rebel militant group, according to The Telegraph.

Saudi Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition forces, told Syria Press Agency that the southern city of Aden – known as Yemen’s second city – was being targeted by Houthi rebel forces that were coming in convoys from Al-Dhale, Shabwa and Al-Hudaida.
As a result, Asiri said coalition forces destroyed “more than one road” that led to Aden. Ammunition stores throughout the country were also targeted. Credit: Instagram/spanews
