Saudi Warplanes Strike Historic Castle in Taiz

Saudi-led warplanes launched airstrikes on Tuesday, May 12, targeting Cairo Castle (Al-Quahira Castle), inTaiz, Yemen. It is the second time the landmark has been targeted by the Saudi coalition since Houthi fighters and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh took control of it, the Yemen Press reported.

The rebels have been using Cairo Castle, which overlooks Taiz, as a military outpost to carry out shelling, according to reports.
